Delivering a Production-Ready Telehealth Platform

ExamMed is a healthcare technology platform that connects patients with their own doctors from anywhere in the world, combining virtual and in-office care into a single, patient-centered experience.

The Challenge

ExamMed had a clear vision for what virtual healthcare could look like: patients connecting with their own doctors from anywhere, with the same level of care they'd get in person, but their previous developer left them with little more than a skeleton of an unfinished web application.

What We Did

Band of Coders took on the full scope of what ExamMed needed. We designed and built a system that makes remote provider-to-patient encounters feel as close to in-person as possible, supporting up to 300 participants at a time while keeping the experience personal and clinically useful. Beyond the core consultation platform, we fixed a range of existing issues and developed a REST API that brought the iOS application to life. The result was a telehealth platform built to the standards the healthcare industry demands, HIPAA compliant and ready for real patient care.
