In 2001, Bobby founded Band of Coders, a custom software engineer company. This move was inspired by his understanding that a successful tech business must be build around a platform that allows software engineers to consistently provide their best work to their clients. Band of Coders creates an environment where both clients and developers can shine.

Internationally recognized for his achievements, Bobby has received numerous accolades including “Canada’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award” as well as “Canada’s Top 40 Leaders under the age of 40 Award”. Bobby is currently Chairman of Miqueas 6:8, Inc, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that runs a children’s home in Honduras; he also created Girls Academy under Band of Coders umbrella, a program that aims to foster a passion for software development in middle school girls.

Bobby regulary mentors dozens of young founders worldwide. His motto is: “I always have an ear for somebody who has a dream to build something”.

PERSONAL STORY

Prior to Band of Coders, Bobby founded Personus Inc. (Caught in The Web), a highly capitalized boutique software development form. He led Personous Inc. to its eventual acquisition. Bobby went on to become CTO of Trade Settlement Inc. Wall Street’s leader in post trade loan settlement processing, serving the $3.0 trillion Global Primary and Secondary Syndicated Load markets. The technology he build is used by thousands of traders at the world’s largest financial institutions.
